Children’s multi-Agency Locality Teams

Somerset County Council’s Children and Young People’s Directorate have set up Locality Teams, which are comprised of specialist workers from a range of disciplines. Some of the workers in these teams are:

  • Education Attendance Officers
  • Family Advice and Liaison Workers – from Aug 08 will be known as Parent and Family Support Advisors
  • Youth Service Workers
  • Emotional Health and Well Being Workers
  • Youth Inclusion Support Panel
  • Connexions

The aim of the locality teams is to provide joined-up, effective services for children, young people and families across Somerset .

The locality teams are able cover a spectrum of issues young people face from emotional well-being to success at school. The locality teams deal with children from ages 0-19, and as such offer a huge variety of advice, expertise and help to young people, schools and families.

Please contact Sam Speed on 07824866747 if you would like any help or support. She will either work with you direct or will refer you to the best person within the locality team.
